There are many things that grown-ups say,
to keep your fears and worries away.
To make you think of childish fun;
of fairies, nymphs and trophies won.
A fantastical world of ancient charm,
the truth of which should raise alarm.
Those magical tales before your eyes,
are just a bunch of filthy lies.
Told as though you’re dull and thick,
which ones are false?, just take your pick!
Peruse for a moment, the old Tooth Fairy,
never was, a tale so scary.
She comes in the night, to claim baby teeth,
why she’s nothing more, than a low-life thief.
She sneaks around in the dead of night,
hoping hungrily that you might -
Have placed a tooth beneath your head,
for her to steal, just like I said.
Through your window the low-lives creep,
toward your pillow as you sleep.
A grimy sack, marked only with ‘swag’,
your precious tooth goes in her bag.
And in exchange, some small coins sit,
but was the pain and blood worth it?
Exposed at last for all to see,
beware my friend of the tooth fairy.
And what about that much played tune,
the man who lives upon the moon?
Never was, a lie so bare,
a man who breathes without fresh air.
Surely they must think us dense,
to believe a tale that makes no sense?
A man who lives upon that rock?
Is to me, a great big crock!
Consider now, why he is there,
suspended high, in the twinkling air.
Watching every move we make,
every move for goodness sake!
The worst part is, do you not see?,
our utter lack of privacy.
When you use the loo, or when you curse,
he’s watching over – how perverse!
Military action should fire up high,
to blow the moon out of the sky.
A rocket with, four armed nukes should poke,
a great big hole in this dirty old bloke.
These creepy tales, they should be barred,
before they leave you deeply scarred.
So listen up kids, take note you guys,
do not believe these grown-up lies!
